Don Knabe
Donald R. Knabe (born October 15, 1943, in Illinois) was a member of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, serving the Fourth District. The long east–west district runs from Marina del Rey and LAX through the South Bay, Los Angeles Harbor Region, and the Gateway Cities, to the southeastern San Gabriel Valley. Education and early political career Knabe attended Graceland University and graduated with a degree in business administration. After enlisting in the U.S. Navy, Knabe settled in Cerritos. The Knabes owned a small business, and Knabe entered politics in 1978 as one of several candidates for the GOP nomination to replace Del M. Clawson as Congressman from the 33rd District (Downey-Norwalk-Whittier). Knabe lost to La Mirada Mayor Wayne R. Grisham, but carried his home area. Wilhelm Knabe
Wilhelm Knabe (8 October 1923 – 30 January 2021) was a German ecologist, pacifist, civil servant and politician, remembered as a founding member of the Green Party in Germany, and a pioneer of conservation of the environment who shaped the party for decades. Knabe studied forest management in the German Democratic Republic (GDR) and, as an assistant at the Humboldt University, focused on the recultivation after brown coal mining. Knabe left East Germany in 1959, settling in Mülheim, West Germany with his family, where he worked for a state agency for ecology. He had been a member of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU) from 1946, because it represented his Christian ethics, but left the party in 1966, unwilling to support its belief in economic growth and nuclear energy. Otto Knabe
Franz Otto Knabe (June 12, 1884 – May 17, 1961), also known as "Dutch", was an American Major league second baseman from Carrick, Pennsylvania, who played for four teams. Knabe received MVP votes in three-straight seasons, 1911-1913, as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies and during his time with the Phillies, he led the National League in sacrifice hits. He was the player-manager for the only two season the Baltimore Terrapins and the Federal League were in existence. Knabe twice received a single vote for the Baseball Hall of Fame, once in 1939, and the other in 1942. He died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was interred at New Cathedral Cemetery. Morgan Knabe
Morgan Knabe (born May 20, 1981) is a former breaststroke swimmer from Canada, who competed for his native country at two consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 2000 (2000 - Sydney, AUS and 2004 - Athens, GR). His best Olympic results were a sixth place in the 100-metre breaststroke, and with the men's 4x100-metre medley relay in Sydney, Australia. Morgan is currently based in Brisbane as the head coach of Lawnton Swim Club.
