Christian Schmidt (born 14 February 1980 in Frankfurt (Oder)), known as Klopfer, is a German writer and editor. Biography Schmidt was born in 1980 to a teacher and a technician. Growing up in the German Democratic Republic, he was a Young Pioneer. He adopted the name ''Klopfer'' (English: Thumper) after the ''Bambi'' character, as both ''Christian'' and ''Schmidt'' are among the most common names in Germany. Since 2016, his pseudonym is officially recognised. After completing his Abitur in 1999, Schmidt studied computer science at the University of Potsdam from 1999 until 2004. At the Humboldt University of Berlin, he studied Japanese studies from 2004 until 2005 and German studies from 2005 until 2010. From 2000 until 2016, Schmidt maintained the Manga and Anime online database ''Animestreet''. In 1999, he opened a personal website which he named ''Klopfers Web'' in 2002. Frankfurt (Oder), also known as Frankfurt an der Oder (), is a city in the German state of Brandenburg. It has around 57,000 inhabitants, is one of the easternmost cities in Germany, the fourth-largest city in Brandenburg, and the largest German city on the river Oder. Frankfurt sits on the western bank of the river, opposite the Polish town of Słubice, which was a part of Frankfurt until 1945, and called ''Dammvorstadt'' until then. Kodomo No Omocha
, also known as ''Kodocha'' for short, is a Japanese manga series by Miho Obana. The series was adapted as an OVA by J.C. Staff and released on December 16, 1995 by Shueisha under their Ribon Video label. An anime television series was produced by NAS and TV Tokyo, animated by Studio Gallop, and broadcast on TV Tokyo every Friday from April 5, 1996 to March 27, 1998. In 2002, the manga was published in North America in English by Tokyopop as ''Kodocha: Sana's Stage''. In 2006, Tokyopop lost the license to the manga, leaving it out of print.
