Klaus Bruengel
Klaus Bruengel (born in October 1949 in Holzwickede) is a German Composer and bass player. Noteworthy are his 46 musical representations of the characters and places in Homer's epic '' Odyssey'', summarized in the Odyssey Suite 2014 he composed the ballet suite ''In Monets Garden''. Life Bruengel studied music at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold and educational science at the University of Münster. He made a name for himself as composer, bassist and music-arranger with the "Kurt Weil Orchestra" in Sweden and Switzerland, and also as a member of the jazz rock band Time in Space. There followed a number of years as session musician and musical arranger at the WDR (German radio/TV station). He collaborated with Schauspielhaus Bochum, there he played in Saint Joan of the Stockyards by Bertolt Brecht, The Cherry Orchard by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, The Bat by Johann Strauss II, Bruengel also worked as a bassist with artists like Markus Stockhausen, Herbert Grönemeyer, Jon ... Markus Stockhausen
Markus Stockhausen (born May 2, 1957) is a German trumpeter and composer. His recordings and performances have typically alternated between jazz and chamber or opera music, the latter often in collaboration with his father, composer Karlheinz Stockhausen. Biography Born in Cologne, West Germany, he is the son of composer Karlheinz Stockhausen. At age four he appeared as "child at play" in his father's theatre piece ''Originale''. He received his first piano lessons at age six, and at age twelve he began to play the trumpet. He attended the music secondary school in Cologne. Concerts and festival appearances, also for the Goethe Institute, have taken him around the world. In November 2008 he gave the first performance of ''Freedom Variations'', a composition for trumpet and chamber ensemble written by Italian composer Lorenzo Ferrero. Strings (music)
A string is the vibrating element that produces sound in string instruments such as the guitar, harp, piano (piano wire), and members of the violin family. Strings are lengths of a flexible material that a musical instrument holds under tension so that they can vibrate freely, but controllably. Strings may be "plain", consisting only of a single material, like steel, nylon, or gut, or wound, having a "core" of one material and an overwinding of another. This is to make the string vibrate at the desired pitch, while maintaining a low profile and sufficient flexibility for playability. The invention of wound strings, such as nylon covered in wound metal, was a crucial step in string instrument technology, because a metal-wound string can produce a lower pitch than a catgut string of similar thickness.
