Klagopsalmer
''Klagopsalmer'' (roughly, ''Hymns of Lament'') is the sixth album by Shining. It was released on 30 June 2009, by Osmose Productions.BlabbermoutSHINING: New Album Title Changed; Artwork, Track Listing Revealed; retrieved 20 July 2008. Track 4 is a cover version of Seigmen's "Ohm" (from the ''Total'' album). "Ohm" is sung in Norwegian, making it the only song on the album not sung in Swedish. Samplings on the album are from the 1979 documentary, '' Ett anständigt liv'', by Stefan Jarl. Erik Danielsson from Swedish black metal band Watain is responsible for the album cover art. Shining (Swedish Band)
Shining is a Swedish black metal band formed in 1996 by Niklas Kvarforth in Halmstad, Sweden. The band's music contains depressive undertones, which include personal and suicide-themed lyrics. The band's name does not refer to the book '' The Shining'' or the film based on it, but rather it means "the path to enlightenment", according to Kvarforth. History Kvarforth is the main composer and vocalist of the band and started the band when he was twelve. By the time Kvarforth was fourteen, Shining had released their first EP '' Submit to Selfdestruction'' (1998) on which he played guitars and bass. It was not until the band released their first album, ''Within Deep Dark Chambers'' (2000), that Kvarforth became the band's vocalist. Niklas Kvarforth
Niklas Olsson (born 7 December 1983), better known as Niklas Kvarforth, is a Swedish singer and songwriter. He is the founder, composer, and vocalist of the black metal band Shining. Background As a multi-instrumentalist musician, Kvarforth started Shining when he was only 12 years old, in 1996. The band released their first EP, '' Submit to Selfdestruction'', two years later, on which he played guitars and bass. It was not until the band released their first album, ''Within Deep Dark Chambers'', that Kvarforth became the band's vocalist. Controversies Kvarforth is known in the scene for his extreme and sometimes violent behaviour during live performances, including fighting members of other bands, and handing out razor blades to audience members in 2007. Kvarforth has also been accused of assaulting and threatening audience members in 2017. Kvarforth has also performed auto-mutilations onstage and seems to encourage the practice. "Tillsammans är vi allt" includes Håkan Hemlin of Nordman on clean vocals, while Erik Danielsson of Watain appears on "Tiden läker inga sår". "I nattens timma" is a cover version of a song written by the Swedish progressive rock group Landberk Landberk was a Swedish prog/ art rock band, characterized by the dark, sombre tone of their music. They were notable for their utilisation of the mellotron, which was as important as the guitar in their melodies. They also recorded a cover vers ..., released on their 1992 album ''Riktigt äkta''. Electric Guitar
An electric guitar is a guitar that requires external amplification in order to be heard at typical performance volumes, unlike a standard acoustic guitar (however combinations of the two - a semi-acoustic guitar and an electric acoustic guitar exist).
