Klaasje Meijer
Klaasje Ietje "Alieke" Meijer (born 2 March 1995) is a Dutch singer, actress and flautist. Meijer rose to fame as one of the members of the Belgian-Dutch girl group K3, where she sang from 2015 until 2021, replacing Josje Huisman. In 2022, Meijer won the SBS6 reality game show ''The Big Balance''. Early life Meijer was born in the village of Lutjegast in Groningen as the eldest child of a Dutch reformed vicar and a music teacher. She was named after her maternal grandmother, but acquired the nickname Alieke. Throughout her childhood and college time, she was known by family and friends as Alieke Meijer. As a child, she frequently moved across the country as a result of her father's profession. The family initially lived in Nieuwendijk in Noord-Brabant, but moved to 's-Gravenzande, where she completed her VWO certificate. Lutjegast () is a village in the municipality of Westerkwartier in Groningen, Netherlands. It had a population of around 1,125 in January 2017. History The name ''Lutjegast'' originates from Gronings in which ''lutje'' means small or little and a ''ga(a)st'' is a higher, sandy ridge in an otherwise swampy area. The village was first mentioned in 1459 as "op de Lutkegast". Lutjegast is a road village which developed on a sandy ridge. The Dutch Reformed church was built in 1877 and was restored in 1922. The Reformed Church is a cruciform church built in 1922 without a tower in expressionist style. Lutjegast was the birthplace of the explorer Abel Tasman. He is memorialised in town by a monument, plaque and street name. In 2014, a museum dedicated to Abel Tasman opened in the village house. SBS6 is a Dutch free-to-cable commercial TV channel and is a part of Talpa TV, formerly known as SBS Broadcasting B.V. and now owned by Talpa Network. Other channels of the group in the Netherlands are Net5, Veronica, and SBS9. History SBS stands for Scandinavian Broadcasting System. When the SBS Broadcasting Group started expanding outside of Scandinavia in 1995, one of the first countries where they set up a channel was the Netherlands with SBS6. The Nederlandse Omroep Stichting (; NOS ; English: Dutch Broadcasting Foundation) is one of the broadcasting organisations making up the Netherlands Public Broadcasting system. NPO Zapp
NPO Zapp is the Dutch children's block from the NPO on NPO 3 that launched as Z@pp on 4 September 2005. Since September 2005, Zappelin has been the name of a block for young children. The @ in the name of the channel was removed on 10 September 2012. On 12 March 2013, the NPO announced that Zapp and Zappelin would be renamed as NPO Zapp and NPO Zappelin. The reason for this change is to make the channels and its programmes more recognizable. The rebranding completed on 19 August 2014.
