Paavo Lonkila
Paavo Olavi Lonkila (born ''Lång'' on 11 January 1923 – 22 September 2017) was a Finnish cross-country skier. He won a gold medal in the 4 × 10 km relay at the 1952 Olympics and finished third in the individual 18 km race, 11 seconds behind his teammate Tapio Mäkelä. Earlier his 4 × 10 km relay team placed second at the 1950 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, where he finished fifth over 18 km. Jari Huttunen
Jari Huttunen (born 28 February 1994) is a Finnish rally driver from Kiuruvesi. He currently competes in the World Rally Championship-2, the premier support category of the World Rally Championship, for M-Sport Ford World Rally Team. He gained notoriety in the championship after winning his very first rally in the WRC-2 category, at the 2017 Rally Finland. Huttunen is the 2020 World Rally Championship-3 champion. He also won the ADAC Opel Rallye Cup in 2016 and the Polish Rally Championship in 2020. He is managed by two-time World Rally Champion Marcus Grönholm. His current co-driver is Mikko Lukka. Career 2013–2014 At the age of 19 in 2013, Huttunen decided to retire from go-kart competition and put a primary focus on rallying. Pyhäjärvi (1993–1995 ''Pyhäsalmi'') is a town and municipality in the south of Northern Ostrobothnia region, Finland. Pyhäjärvi also borders the Northern Savonia and Central Finland regions. The following is a list of cities in Finland. In the year 1977, the legal difference between towns and municipalities was removed. Today they are all classified as municipalities, some of which are commonly referred to as cities ''(kaupunki'' in Finnish, ''stad'' in Swedish). A municipality can decide whether it calls itself a municipality or a city. but ''suurkaupunki'' (~ large town) is used for a few cities in Finland. This fits the EU's definition of a city, which has the criteria of a minimum population of 50,000 and a minimum population density of 500 inhabitants per square kilometer. A simple, independent decision in the municipal council is sufficient to call a municipality (''kunta'') a city (''kaupunki''). For cities founded before the 1960s, the list includes the year the city was chartered. Elias Simojoki
Lauri Elias Simojoki (28 January 1899 – 25 January 1940) was a Finnish clergyman who became a leading figure in the country's far right movement. The son of a clergyman, Simojoki was born on 28 January 1899 in Rautio.Philip Rees, ''Biographical Dictionary of the Extreme Right Since 1890'', Simon & Schuster, 1990, p. 359 As a youth he saw service in the struggle for Finnish independence and then with the Forest Guerrillas in East Karelia.
