Kitchee Sports Club (; ; ) is a Hong Kong professional football club based in Kowloon. It was founded in 1931 and currently competes in the Hong Kong Premier League. The club has won championships in Hong Kong 11 times, including 6 Hong Kong First Division titles and 5 Hong Kong Premier League titles. It also won the Hong Kong Senior Shield 7 times and the Hong Kong FA Cup 6 times. In the last 10 years, Kitchee won over than 50% of all possible trophies competed in Hong Kong. The club is also the first team from Hong Kong to win a game in AFC Champions League group stage and the first Hong Kong club to advance to the round of 16. Yau Kin Wai (, born 4 January 1973 in Hong Kong) is a former Hong Kong professional football player. Club career Yau had played for Hong Kong First Division League club South China for more than 10 years and is regarded as one of the most decorated defenders in Hong Kong. Spencer Lam Sheung Yee (; 14 December 1934 – 23 April 2009) was a football defender, coach and announcer, as well as an actor. Spencer was a graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong with an economics major. Hong Kong Junior Shield () was a football competition in Hong Kong established in 1922. All teams in the Second Division and the Third Division were included in the competition. Hong Kong Second Division League () is the third level of football league in Hong Kong founded in 1909. The top two teams are promoted to the Hong Kong First Division. Competition format * Each team plays the other teams twice, one home and one away game. The ticket profits go to the home team. If there are two matches in the same stadium on the day, the profits are shared between the two home teams. * Since most of the teams do not have a home ground, the matches will be playing on different grounds. The Hong Kong First Division League () is the second-highest division in the Hong Kong football league system. Established in 1908, it is the third oldest in Asia.
