Kissi Agyebeng
Kissi Agyebeng is a Ghanaian lawyer, academic and the Special Prosecutor of Ghana as of 2021. Prior to his appointment, he was a lecturer at the University of Ghana and the chairman of the Electronic Communications Tribunal of Ghana. Early life and education (1978-2006) Agyebeng was born on 2 July 1978, and hails from Kwahu Nkwatia, in the Eastern Region. He attended the Accra Academy where he obtained his Ordinary Level (O-Level) certificate in 1994 and his Advanced Level (A-Level) certificate in 1996. Following his secondary education, he gained admission to study Law at the University of Ghana, where he graduated in 2001 as the best graduating student of his batch, winning the Bentsi-Enchill Award for Best Graduating Law Student. The Office of the Special Prosecutor of Ghana was established after an act of the Parliament of Ghana passed the Office of Special Prosecutor Bill in 2017. The office serves as an independent investigating and prosecution body to make inquiries into corruption, bribery, or other criminal cases at the national level whether they be in public or private sector. Purpose The NPP Government intended to lessen the burden on existing anti-corruption agencies and remove the institutional roadblocks that exist as hindrances to the fight against corruption. Regional Maritime University
The Regional Maritime University (RMU) is an international tertiary institution and private university in Accra, Ghana. It attained full university status on 25 October 2007 and was launched as such by John Agyekum Kufuor, former President of the Republic of Ghana. It was first called Regional Maritime Academy. The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) is a public co-educational university spread over four campuses (Accra, Tema, Kumasi and Takoradi) and made up of six schools, ten research centers located at Greenhill in Accra, Ghana.
