Anett Kisfaludy (born 31 August 1990) is a Hungarian handballer for Ferencváros and the Hungarian national team. Atala Kisfaludy
Atala Kisfaludy (6 April 1836 – 18 February 1911) was a Hungarian poet, writer from Hungary. She was the first woman to be a member of the Petőfi Society. Biography Atala Kisfaludy was born on 6 April 1836 in Vojvodina, Kötcse to the Kisfaludy family, of noble origin in Kisfalud. Her father was Captain Mihály Kisfaludy, and her mother was Amália Hanovszky. She was related to Károly and Sándor Kisfaludy as well as Pál Ányos. Kisfaludy loved poetry immensely. In 1852, she married the lawyer Károly Szalay (also written Kálolyné Szalay) and they lived in Kaposvár where they had three daughters. Kisfaludy was a member of the cultural life in the city but in 1858, she fell ill. During this time, she began to write poetry. Her poems appeared in ''Hölgyfutár'' and then ''Vasárnapi Újság''. Károly Kisfaludy
Károly Kisfaludy (5 February 1788 – 21 November 1830) was a Hungarian dramatist and artist, brother of Sándor Kisfaludy. He was the founder of the national drama. Early life The youngest of eight children, his mother died in childbirth, and he had a troubled relationship with his father. Kisfaludy began writing poems and songs while in the army from 1804 to 1811. He saw active service in the Napoleonic Wars in Italy, Serbia and Bavaria. After his return in 1810 he courted a girl named Katalin Heppler, but did not marry. His resignation from the army alienated his father, and he took refuge at his sister Teréz's house in Vas County. The Kisfaludy Society (Hungarian: ''Kisfaludy Társaság'') was a literary society in Pest, founded in 1836 and named after Károly Kisfaludy, who had died in 1830. It held monthly meetings and was a major force in Hungarian literary life, giving prizes, funding the collection of folk songs, and sponsoring the publication of works like Imre Madách's ''The Tragedy of Man''. Lajos Kisfaludy
Lajos Kisfaludy (30 August 1924, in Gemer, Czechoslovakia − 30 October 1988, in Budapest, Hungary) was a Hungarian chemical engineer, a corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He is renowned for his research in the field of peptide synthesis and medicinal chemistry. From 1943, he studied at the Budapest University of Technology and graduated in 1948 as a chemical engineer. Until 1956, he taught at the Department of Organic Chemistry of the university. In 1956, he started to work for the Kőbánya Pharmaceutical Factory in Budapest as director and research professor of the synthesis laboratory, a position that he held from 1958 until his death. His main research was in the field of medicinal chemistry. He introduced new methods and protecting groups into the process of peptide synthesis. Sándor Kisfaludy
Sándor Kisfaludy (27 September 1772 – 28 October 1844) was a Hungarian lyric poet, ''Himfy's Loves'' his chief work, was less distinguished as a dramatist. He is considered to be the first romantic poet from Hungary. He was the brother of Károly Kisfaludy. He has been set to music by Zoltán Kodály. Biography He was born in a Hungarian noble family in the town of Sümeg, in Zala county. His father was Mihály Kisfaludy (1743–1825), landowner and chief magistrate (''főszolgabíró''), and his mother was the noble lady Anna Sándorffy (1755–1788). He first started building a career as a military officer. He served in Vienna as an officer in the imperial army, and then took part in the war against Napoleon, defending Milan. In June 1796, during the siege of the Sforza Castle in Milan, he was taken prisoner of war and taken to France, where he was transported to Draguignan.
