Kisaragi Sho
The Kisaragi Sho (Japanese きさらぎ賞) is a Grade 3 horse race for three-year-old Thoroughbreds run in February over a distance of 1800 metres at Kyoto Racecourse. The race is also known as the NHK Sho. The race was first run in 1961 and was elevated to Grade 3 status in 1984. It was usually run at Chukyo Racecourse before being moved to its current venue in 1987. The race serves as a trial race for the Satsuki Sho. Past winers of the race include Special Week, Neo Universe, Tosen Ra and Satono Diamond. Kyoto Racecourse
is located in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. It is used for horse racing. It has a capacity of 120,000. It was built in 1999. History Kyoto Race Course opened on December 1, 1925. In preparation for the track's 100th anniversary, Kyoto Race Course will be closed from November 2020 until the Spring of 2023 for grandstand renovations. Races normally run at Kyoto will be moved to either Hanshin Racecourse or Chukyo Racecourse during this time. Physical attributes Kyoto Race Course has two turf courses, a dirt course, and a jump course. The turf's measures 1894m and the measures 1783m . A chute permits races to be run on either oval at distances between 1400m and 1800m. Yutaka Take
(born March 15, 1969 in Kyoto, Kyoto) is a Japanese jockey. A legend in Japan, Yutaka Take made his riding debut in 1987 and currently holds seven all-time records in his native country. Take has won at least one Grade 1 races for 23 straight years until 2010 and a graded stakes race for 36 consecutive years. Take has also shown his abilities abroad. Christophe Lemaire
Christophe Patrice Lemaire (Japanese:, born 20 May 1979) is a French-born jockey. He has enjoyed much of his success on the Japanese flat racing circuit, with the most wins at Japan Racing Association racetracks for five consecutive years since 2017. Career Lemaire began racing in 1999, after he obtained the license required for a French jockey. Satono Diamond ( ja, サトノダイヤモンド, link=no, foaled 30 January 2013) is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse. He showed promise as a juvenile in 2015 when he won both of his races. In the following year he developed into a top-class performer winning the Kisaragi Sho finishing third Satsuki Sho and taking second place in the Tokyo Yushun.
