New Delhi (, , ''Naī Dillī'') is the capital of India and a part of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT). New Delhi is the seat of all three branches of the government of India, hosting the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House, and the Supreme Court of India. Nana Falgunrao Patole (born 5 June 1963) is an Indian politician who is the current President of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee from 5 February 2021. He was the Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. A former Member of the Parliament of India (the 16th Lok Sabha), he represented the BJP. He represented the Bhandara-Gondiya in Lok Sabha. In 2017, he resigned from BJP and the Lok Sabha. On 11 January 2018 he joined Congress party. Trade Unions in India are registered and file annual returns under the Trade Union Act (1926). Statistics on Trade Unions are collected annually by the Labour Bureau of the Ministry of Labour, Government of India. As per the latest data, released for 2012, there were 16,154 trade unions which had a combined membership of 9.18 million (based on returns from 15 States – out of a total of 28 States and 9 Union Territories). The Trade Union movement in India is largely divided along political lines and follows a pre-Independence pattern of overlapping interactions between political parties and unions. The net result of this type of system is debated as it has both advantages and disadvantages.
