Workers And Peasants Party (France)
The Workers and Peasants Party (Parti ouvrier et paysan) was a short lived communist splinter party in France in 1929-1930. On November 24, 1929 six municipal councilors were expelled by the French Communist Party, Louis Sellier (ancien secrétaire général du PCF en 1923-1924), Jean Garchery, Charles Joly, Louis Castellaz, Camille Renault, Louis Gélis. Charles Auffray, the mayor of Clichy was also expelled. This was during the Comintern wide drive against "right oppositionists" and "Bukharinites". On December 22, 1929 the expelled councilors formed the new party. In December 1930 the group joined with other groups to found the Party of Proletarian Unity. Workers And Peasants Party (India)
The Workers and Peasants Party (WPP) (also known as the Kirti Kisan Party) was a political party in India, which worked inside the Indian National Congress in 1925–1929. It became an important front organisation for the Communist Party of India and an influential force in the Bombay labour movement. The party was able to muster some success in making alliances with other left elements inside the Congress Party, amongst them Jawaharlal Nehru. However, as the Communist International entered its ' Third Period' phase, the communists deserted the WPP project. The WPP was wound up, as its leadership was arrested by the British authorities in March 1929. Founding of the party The party was founded in Bengal on 1 November 1925, as the Labour Swaraj Party of the Indian National Congress. The Workers' and Peasants' Party (german: Partei der Unselbständig Erwerbenden und Kleinbauern, abbreviated UEK) was a political party in Liechtenstein. The party emerged from the trade union movement The labour movement or labor movement consists of two main wings: the trade union movement (British English) or labor union movement (American English) on the one hand, and the political labour movement on the other. * The trade union movement ..., as no workers had been elected in the 1949 elections. The party was founded as a delegates' assembly in 1953. It contested the February 1953 elections, it received 198 votes (6.9%) and but failed to win a seat due to the 18% electoral threshold. The party did not contest the June 1953 elections, and has not contested any since.
