Stephan Kirste (born 12 November 1962, in Oldenburg (city), Oldenburg, West Germany) is a German legal scholar and university professor of legal and social philosophy at the Faculty of Law of the University of Salzburg (Austria). Since 2020, Kirste is also an associate professor (Professor Colaborador) at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) in the graduate program. Life and education After graduating from high school, Kirste studied law at the University of Regensburg and modern history and philosophy at the University of Freiburg in Breisgau until 1990. In 1994, Kirste finished his legal studies with the Second State Examination in Law. Kirste had already been working as a research assistant at the University of Freiburg and at the University of Jena since completing his law studies. Matthias Kirste (born near Berlin), is a German cinematographer. Internationally, Kirste is mainly known for his work on the feature-films by Alexander Tuschinski. They met when they both studied at Hochschule der Medien. Since then, they often collaborated, and both share the cinematographer-credit, either of them taking turns at operating the camera depending on the scene. Life Kirste got his first film camera when he was 15 years old and did his first photographic and filmic projects as a teenager. Gerd Kirste
Gerd Kirste, née Sørum (10 June 1918 – 9 December 2014) was a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. She was born in Bærum as a daughter of engineer Sigurd Rolf Sørum (1889–1959) and housewife Anna née Hole (1894–1969). She was married to Ernst Kirste, a son of Max Richard Kirste. They had three children and resided at Høvik. She was elected to the Parliament of Norway from Akershus in 1977, and was re-elected in 1981, serving until 1985. She had previously served as a deputy representative during the terms 1965–1969 and 1969–1973. On the local level she was a member of the executive committee of Bærum municipal council from 1963 to 1971.
