Kirrily Sharpe
Kirrily Sharpe (born 25 February 1973) is a former professional tennis player from Australia. Biography Sharpe, a left-handed player from Sydney, trained with the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra. She was a member of the Australian team which won the 1988 World Youth Cup, now known as the Junior Davis Cup and Junior Fed Cup, Junior Fed Cup. While still only 17, she competed in the main draw of the 1990 French Open as a qualifier and scored an upset win over 14th seed Raffaella Reggi, en route to the third round. She also competed in junior Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam events that year and made three finals. At the 1990 Wimbledon Championships, she was runner-up to Andrea Strnadová in the girls' singles, and was also a losing finalist in the girls' doubles, partnering Nicole Pratt. WTA Tour
The WTA Tour is a worldwide top-tier tennis tour for women organized by the Women's Tennis Association. The second-tier tour is the WTA 125K series, and third-tier is the ITF Women's Circuit. The men's equivalent is the ATP Tour. Shirli-Ann Valentine (born 20 June 1974), formerly Shirli-Ann Siddall, is a British former professional tennis player. Biography Siddall, who was born in Liverpool, had a promising junior career. In 1990 she won seven out of eight national titles in the under-16 and under-18 divisions. Based in Dorset, Siddall played professionally in the 1990s. In 1995 she featured in Fed Cup ties for Great Britain against both Poland and the Czech Republic, in Murcia, Spain. She competed regularly in the main draw of the Wimbledon Championships and once at the US Open in 1997, partnering Barbara Schett in the women's doubles. The Open Clarins is a defunct WTA Tour affiliated tennis tournament played from 1987 to 1992. It was held in the Paris in France and played on the outdoor clay courts of the Racing Club de France. It was a Tier V tournament until 1989 and was subsequently promoted to Tier IV, raising prize money from $50,000 to $150,000. It was replaced by the Open Gaz de France in 1993. In 2022, a WTA 125 tournament was introduced at the venue under its sponsored name, Trophee Lagardère, with a total financial commitment of $115,000.
