Kirkintilloch Rob Roy Football Club are a Scottish football club based in the town of Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire. Nicknamed ''The Rabs'' or ''The Roy'', they were formed in 1878. They wear red and black strips and currently compete in the . The team currently play their home games at Guy's Meadow, home of Cumbernauld United, whilst they wait for a new home ground to be built in Kirkintilloch. They previously played at Adamslie Park from 1926 until 2014. The opening game was against Petershill in which saw Petershill win the first match at Adamslie Park. Previously they had played at Smillies Pond (Coxdale Park) in the 1878/79 season, followed by a spell at a ground in the Broadcroft area of the town (where the Lion Foundry would be built) until 1889. The club then moved to Kelvindale Park, situated beside the river Kelvin which would remain their home until 1926. Guy's Meadow
Cumbernauld United Football Club are a football club based in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. They play at Guy's Meadow in the Cumbernauld Village area of the town. Formed in 1964, they currently compete in the , having previously played in the SJFA West Region before moving to the senior pyramid in 2020. Club colours are maroon and blue, and the club's nickname is "United". The club has a full youth academy with teams from the under-6 age group up to under-19 level. The academy plays its home games on the 'HatTrix' astroturf park adjacent to the Guy's Meadow pitch, as well as on that pitch itself when weather permits. Cumbernauld (; gd, Comar nan Allt, meeting of the streams) is a large town in the historic county of Dunbartonshire and council area of North Lanarkshire, Scotland. Peter Houseman
Peter Houseman (24 December 1945–20 March 1977) was an English footballer who played as a winger. He was best known for his part in Chelsea's F.A. Cup-winning side of 1970. He later signed for Oxford United. He was killed along with his wife and two friends in a car crash in 1977. Club career Chelsea Born in Battersea, Houseman signed professional terms with Chelsea in 1963, having played for the Chelsea Juniors. He made his debut for the club in the 1963–64 season in a 3–2 win over Sheffield United but made only sporadic appearances in his early years at Chelsea, with manager Tommy Docherty unconvinced by him. A section of the Chelsea crowd were also unconvinced by Houseman's performances, and sometimes singled him out for abuse.
