History The team was established in 1873 Home games are played at Beveridge Park. The club hold a community sevens tournament annually, with 22 teams taking part in 2014. Their Samoan head coach, Quintan Sanft, has been with the club since 2005. Kirkcaldy Sevens The club host the Kirkcaldy Sevens tournament. Entrants play for the Heggie Cup. The Scottish Rugby Union (SRU; gd, Aonadh Rugbaidh na h-Alba) is the governing body of rugby union in Scotland. History

Previously, the club had two undefeated seasons in 2007 and 2008, earning them rights to promotion. The 1st XV are currently coached by Gavin Emerson. The captain is Jamie Thomson. The Howe run teams from Primary 3 level up to under-18 colts level. Many players have gone on to represent Fife, Caledonia, and Scotland at age grade level, with a handful going on to represent professional clubs. Glenrothes RFC or "The Glens" are a rugby union club based in Glenrothes, Fife, Scotland. Home matches are played at Carleton Park, Glenrothes. History Founded in 1965, the club recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. Glenrothes currently competes in Caledonia Regional League Division One. Glenrothes Sevens The club run the Glenrothes Sevens tournament. New Town Sevens This Sevens tournament was peripatetic around the new towns of Scotland:- East Kilbride, Glenrothes, Cumbernauld, Livingston and Irvine. Dave Howie
David Dickie Howie (12 May 1888 – 19 January 1916) was a rugby union player, who represented and Kirkcaldy RFC. He enlisted as a trooper in the local yeomanry in September 1914, at the start of the First World War. After undergoing training in England, he was commissioned second lieutenant in the Royal Field Artillery in April 1915 and despatched to Gallipoli in August. During the evacuation of Anzac Bay, he contracted pneumonia, and died in Cairo, Egypt, after shooting himself with a revolver while in a state of delirium. He is buried at the Cairo War Memorial Cemetery. Howie, who played as a forward, was capped seven times for Scotland between 1912 and 1913. The Scottish National League Division Two (known as Tennent's National League Division 2 for sponsorship reasons) is the third tier of the Scottish League Championship for amateur rugby union clubs in Scotland. Kirkcaldy ( ; sco, Kirkcaldy; gd, Cair Chaladain) is a town and former royal burgh in Fife, on the east coast of Scotland. It is about north of Edinburgh and south-southwest of Dundee. The town had a recorded population of 49,460 in 2011, making it Fife's second-largest settlement and the List of towns and cities in Scotland by population, 12th most populous settlement in Scotland.
