Kirby Snead
William Kirby Snead (born October 7, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut in 2021 for the Toronto Blue Jays and also played for the Oakland Athletics. Amateur career Snead attended Santa Fe High School (Alachua, Florida), Santa Fe High School in his hometown of Alachua, Florida. Undrafted out of high school, he then attended the University of Florida, and played three seasons for the Florida Gators baseball, Florida Gators. In his freshman season, Snead appeared in 32 games and pitched to a 3–0 Win–loss record (pitching), win–loss record, 2.40 earned run average (ERA), and 22 strikeouts in 41 innings. As a sophomore, Snead went 1–0 in 28 games played, and posted a 3.15 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 34 innings pitched. The Lansing Lugnuts are a Minor League Baseball team of the Midwest League and the High-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics. They are located in Lansing, Michigan, and play their home games at Jackson Field (Lansing), Jackson Field. In baseball or softball, a strikeout (or strike-out) occurs when a batter accumulates three strikes during a time at bat. It usually means that the batter is out. Triple-A (officially Class AAA) has been the highest level of play in Minor League Baseball in the United States since 1946. Currently, two sports league, leagues operate at the Triple-A level, the International League (IL) and the Pacific Coast League (PCL). There are 30 teams, one per each Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise, with 20 in the IL and 10 in the PCL. The New Hampshire Fisher Cats are a Minor League Baseball team based in Manchester, New Hampshire. The team, which plays in the Eastern League, is the Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays major league club. In baseball, a home run (abbreviated HR) is scored when the ball is hit in such a way that the batter is able to circle the bases and reach home plate safely in one play without any errors being committed by the defensive team. A home run is usually achieved by hitting the ball over the outfield fence between the foul poles (or hitting either foul pole) without the ball touching the field.
