Kira Clan
The Kira clan(吉良氏 - kira-shi) was a Japanese clan, descended from Emperor Seiwa (850–880), and was a cadet branch of the Ashikaga family from the Minamoto clan (Seiwa Genji). Ashikaga Mitsuuji, grandson of Ashikaga Yoshiuji (1189–1254) was the first to take the name of Kira. History Kira Mitsusada sided first with his relative Ashikaga Takauji (1305–1358), the first Ashikaga ''shōgun'', then passed over to the Southern Dynasty. He was defeated by Hatakeyama Kunikiyo (1360) and submitted to the Ashikaga ''shōguns''. In fact, the Kira, from Mikawa province, were a minor branch of the Minamoto clan, as they never had the rank of ''Shugo'' (Governor) of any province during the Kamakura period until the Sengoku period, they never possessed important domains and never represented a real power, in comparison with other grand Seiwa Genji families. Kira, Aichi
was a town located in Hazu District, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. As of May 1, 2004, the town had an estimated population of 22,280 and a population density of 619.2 persons per km2. Its total area was 35.98 km2. Kira was a coastal settlement in southern Aichi Prefecture, on Mikawa Bay. The town economy was based on commercial fishing and seasonal tourism. The Kira Institute is a non-profit organization. It was founded in 1997 to encourage open inquiry concerning the nature of scientific knowledge and its relation to other perspectives drawn from a wide variety of fields. Kira (Bhutan)
The kira ( dz, དཀྱི་ར་, དཀྱིས་རས་, translit=dkyi-ra, dkyis-ras) is the national dress for women in Bhutan. It is an ankle-length dress consisting of a rectangular piece of woven fabric. It is wrapped and folded around the body and is pinned at both shoulders, usually with silver brooches (named ''koma''), and bound at the waist with a long belt. Patsaev is a lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon, to the northeast of the prominent crater Tsiolkovskiy. To the northwest is the smaller crater Lander. This is a heavily damaged crater that now appears as little more than an irregular depression in the surface.
