The City of Leeds is a city and metropolitan borough in West Yorkshire, England. The ''Yorkshire Evening Post'' is a daily evening publication (delivered to newsagents every morning) published by Yorkshire Post Newspapers in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The 2008 Leeds City Council election took place on Thursday 1 May 2008 to elect members of Leeds City Council in England.
