Kingstown is the capital, chief port, and main commercial centre of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. With a population of 12,909 (2012), Kingstown is the most populous settlement in the country. It is the island's agricultural industry centre and a port of entry for tourists. The city lies within the parish of Saint George in the south-west corner of Saint Vincent. History The modern capital, Kingstown, was founded by French settlers shortly after 1722, although Saint Vincent had 196 years of British rule before its independence. Kingstown, New South Wales
Kingstown is a rural village, north west of Uralla on the Northern Tablelands in the New England region of New South Wales, Australia. At the 2006 census, Kingstown had a population of 137 people. It has a public school, church, general store, Landcare Group and New South Wales Rural Fire Service. The main industries are sheep and beef cattle breeding with some timber production. Location The village is at the end of the sealed Uralla to Kingstown Road. Originally the main north road went from Tamworth through Bendemeer to Kingstown and then to Bundarra. Warrabah National Park is about 15 km to the west, but there is very limited access from the Kingstown side. Dún Laoghaire
Dún Laoghaire ( , ) is a suburban coastal town in Dublin in Ireland. It is the administrative centre of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown. The town was built following the 1816 legislation that allowed the building of a major port to serve Dublin. It was known as Dunleary until it was renamed Kingstown in honour of King George IV's 1821 visit, and in 1920 was given its present name, the original Irish form of Dunleary. Over time, the town became a residential location, a seaside resort and the terminus of Ireland's first railway. Toponymy The town's name means "fort of Laoghaire". South Kingstown is a town in, and the county seat of, Washington County, Rhode Island, United States. The population was 31,931 at the 2020 census. South Kingstown is the second largest town in Rhode Island by total geographic area, behind New Shoreham, and the third largest town in Rhode Island by geographic land area, behind Exeter and Coventry. Kingstown Radio is a hospital radio station founded in 1961 and based in Kingston upon Hull, England, broadcasting on 1350 kHz (AM), to patient's bedside Hospedia systems and via the local NHS intranet across the Hull and East Yorkshire NHS Trust. It is a registered charity. Broadcasting music, news, sport and health information to staff and patients, its Hull City live commentaries were partially popular beyond its usual audiences, alongside BBC Radio Humberside it was the only station broadcasting these games live. Former volunteer presenters include Jon Culshaw, a popular comedian, and James Hoggarth, who later joined BBC Radio Humberside and more recently became their music editor.
