Kingston Clippers was a Canadian semi-professional association football, soccer club based in Kingston, Ontario. The club was founded as a youth soccer club and added its semi-professional club in League1 Ontario in 2014. The club was one of the ten original founding men's teams in League1 Ontario, which was established in 2014, as well as one of eight original founding women’s teams of the League1 Ontario (women), women's division, which was established in 2015. Both teams withdrew from the league following the 2016 season. The semi-professional team was originally known as Cataraqui Clippers in 2014. Queen's University at Kingston, commonly known as Queen's University or simply Queen's, is a public research university in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The Canadian Soccer League (CSL; french: Ligue canadienne de soccer — LCS) is a semi-professional league for Canadian soccer clubs primarily located in the province of Ontario, and claims the history of the Canadian National Soccer League (CNSL). Ryan McCurdy (born 23 May 1991) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre-back. Jason Massie (born 13 September 1984) is a former English footballer. Career College and amateur Massie was a member of the schoolboy academy at storied English football club Liverpool, working his way from the U12 team to play a few times with the club's reserves. After a short stint with English non-league side Prescot Cables in the Northern Premier League, Massie moved to the United States to attend and play college soccer at the University of Rio Grande. Ndzemdzela Langwa (born 5 March 1998), sometimes known as "Zoom" Langwa, is a Canadian soccer player who plays as a left-back for VfB Straubing in the Landesliga Bayern-Mitte. 2014 League1 Ontario Season
The 2014 League1 Ontario season was the inaugural season of the Division 3 Ontario-based semi-professional Association football, soccer league. It began on May 30, featuring 10 teams. Kingston FC were a Canadian soccer team based in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The team was awarded a franchise in 2011 as a member of the Canadian Soccer League, and participated in the league for three seasons, 2012 to 2014. In February 2015, Kingston FC formally announced that it had withdrawn from the Canadian Soccer League for the 2015 season.
