__NOTOC__ Kingsford is a locality in South Australia located about north of the Adelaide city centre. The Sturt Highway crosses the locality which is bounded by the Thiele Highway on the northwest, Roseworthy and Gomersal Roads on the north and the North Para River on the south. Kingsford's boundaries were created in May 1995 for the ”long established name” which is derived from the “ Kingsford homestead.” The principal land use within the locality is agriculture. The Kingsford homestead survives and is listed on the South Australian Heritage Register; it is also notable as a location in the Australian television series, McLeod's Daughters. North Para River
The North Para River is a river located in the Barossa Valley of the Australian state of South Australia. The river's name is based directly on the Kaurna word ''pari'' which means river. The "north" descriptor distinguishes it from the South Para River with which it merges. Course and features The North Para River rises in the Barossa Ranges near Eden Valley and follows a meandering path through the Barossa Valley, firstly north to the east of Angaston, then arcs around to the southwest to pass through the towns of Nuriootpa and Tanunda, before merging with the South Para River in Gawler forming the Gawler River. Thiele Highway
Thiele Highway is a road in South Australia connecting the outskirts of Adelaide to the North west bend of the Murray River at Morgan, South Australia. It is named after author Colin Thiele who lived most of his life in towns along the route, and set some of his stories in the area. Thiele Highway branches from Horrocks Highway at Gawler Belt on the outskirts of Gawler, north of Adelaide. It goes northeast through undulating cropping country to skirt the east side of Freeling and continues to cross the Light River and enter the former mining town of Kapunda. It crosses the Light River again midway between Kapunda and Eudunda. Sturt Highway is an Australian national highway in New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia. It is an important road link for the transport of passengers and freight between Sydney and Adelaide and the regions situated adjacent to the route. Roseworthy, South Australia
Roseworthy is a small town in South Australia, about 10 km north of Gawler on the Horrocks Highway. At the 2016 census, Roseworthy had a population of 994. Roseworthy has a large grain storage facility consisting of both storage silos and bunkers for grain grown in the surrounding areas, and grain is now taken by road transport to Port Adelaide for export where it was once taken by rail. Roseworthy is the junction of the former Peterborough railway line and Morgan railway lines, both constructed as broad gauge railway lines (although the Peterborough line was originally narrow gauge from Terowie to Peterborough), and remained that gauge for their entire service. Both lines were originally built to support export from copper mines, respectively at Burra and Kapunda before being extended beyond those towns.
