Kingsbury, Victoria
Kingsbury is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, north-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Darebin local government area. Kingsbury recorded a population of 3,460 at the 2021 census. The suburb was named after Bruce Kingsbury VC, who died in Papua New Guinea during the Second World War. Residential layout Kingsbury is an established suburb, with the majority of homes established in the 1960s from either weatherboard or brick. During the 2010s, there has been an increased number of new housing developments in the area with Kingsbury following the trend from neighbouring suburbs Reservoir and Preston, largely due to the large block land size and close proximity to public transport and the Melbourne CBD. Electoral District Of Bundoora
Bundoora is an electoral district of the Victorian Legislative Assembly. It covers an area of in north-eastern Melbourne, encompassing the suburbs of Bundoora, Kingsbury, Watsonia and Watsonia North, and parts of Greensborough, Macleod, Mill Park and Yallambie. It also includes the central campus of La Trobe University. It lies within the Northern Metropolitan Region of the upper house, the Legislative Council. Mernda Railway Line
The Mernda railway line (previously the South Morang line, Epping line and Whittlesea line) is a commuter rail passenger train service in Melbourne, Australia. It operates between Flinders Street in the Melbourne central business district and Mernda through the northern suburbs including East Melbourne, Richmond, Abbotsford, Clifton Hill, Fitzroy North, Northcote, Preston, Reservoir, Thomastown, Lalor, Epping, South Morang and Mernda. This is a list of the 222 suburban railway stations currently operating in Melbourne, Victoria. The Melbourne railway network consists of 17 railway lines, as well as the central City Loop. There are also a further 19 stations on three heritage, volunteer-operated, tourist railways, which are not a part of the suburban network. Stations are broken up into two Myki ticketing zones (some stations are in the overlap between the two zones, where tickets for either zone may be used). Plenty Road
Plenty Road is a major urban arterial road in the north-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Plenty Road begins at the intersection of High Street and Dundas Street in Preston, travelling through the north eastern suburbs of Reservoir, Bundoora, Mill Park, South Morang and Mernda and terminating in the township of Whittlesea, just outside the urban area of Melbourne. The road is notorious amongst Melburnians as one of the most congested and dangerous roads in Melbourne, with the section in Bundoora near the M80 Ring Road carrying upwards of 60,000 vehicles per day. Lalor () is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, north of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Whittlesea local government area.
