Kings Hammer FC
Kings Hammer FC is a pre-professional soccer club that plays in Cincinnati, Ohio and based in Covington, Kentucky competing in the Great Lakes Division in USL League Two. History The club was founded in 2013 through the merger of Kings Soccer Academy with Hammer FC, but its roots go back to 1993. They have won a US National Youth championship. In 2020, they added a U23 team in the Ohio Valley Premier League, winning the league's inaugural season in the Fall of 2020. In 2021, they joined USL League Two, the top amateur division in the United States, while still planning to operate their OVPL team. Greenville Triumph SC is a professional soccer team based in Greenville, South Carolina, United States. The club began play in USL League One in 2019. History The formation of USL D3 was first announced in April 2017, and league officials began touring the country looking for candidate cities for new soccer clubs. USL D3 vice president Steven Short visited Greenville in July 2017, and told local reporters at the time that Greenville was one of the league's top candidates. In January 2018, the league began announcing teams that would play in their 2019 inaugural season. The formation of a USL D3 club in Greenville was officially announced on March 13, 2018, with local entrepreneur Joe Erwin named as the principal owner. Jacob Goodall (born April 30, 1997) is an American soccer player who plays for Greenville Triumph in the USL League One. Career Youth, college and amateur Goodall attended Xavier University in 2015 to play college soccer, where over four seasons, he made 69 appearances, scoring 2 goals and tallying 10 assists for the Musketeers. Goodall redshirted in 2015, but went on to be named Big East All-Academic Team in 2016 and 2017. Whilst at college, Goodall also appeared in the USL PDL with IMG Academy Bradenton in 2016 and Cincinnati Dutch Lions in 2018. Paul Nicholson (born 10 August 1986 in Whitehaven) is an English retired footballer who played in the United Soccer League from 2011 to 2017. Career College and amateur Nicholson started his career playing for Morecambe under 17 and under 18 team. After being unsuccessful in obtaining a professional contract with the club, Nicholson moved to the United States in 2005 after accepting a scholarship to play college soccer at the University of Rio Grande. He was selected a first team All-American in 2008 and first team All-AMC. Nicholson was named in the All Tournament team for the 2008 NAIA Tournament and was tabbed the tournament's Most Valuable Defensive Player.
