King City High School
King City High School is a high school in King City, California, in the United States. It is administered by the South Monterey County Joint Union High School District. The school's auditorium is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. King City FFA Chapter King City High School is also a member of the National FFA Organization and its chapter is currently ranked 3rd in the state of California and has been part of the school and its curriculum since 1929. The chapter has a long legacy of achievements such as being one of the first FFA Chapters in the United States to allow women in the organization and having the most proficiency award winners and state degree recipients in the state of California in 2016. King City is an unincorporated Canadian community in the township of King, Ontario, located north of Toronto. It is the largest community in King township, with 2,730 dwellings and a population of 8,396 as of the 2021 Canadian census. Monterey (; es, Monterrey; Ohlone: ) is a city located in Monterey County on the southern edge of Monterey Bay on the U.S. state of California's Central Coast. Warren Church (October 19, 1929 – September 2, 2017) was an American politician and educator who served on the Monterey County Board of Supervisors from 1965 to 1977. He was a Democrat who represented District 1 which at that time encompassed the northern parts of Monterey County. He served on various committees and published books on local history and genealogy. Summit Preparatory Charter High School also known as Summit Prep, is a college preparatory and charter high school that was founded in 2003. Summit Prep is the first school founded by the charter management organization (CMO) Summit Public Schools, which has eight schools in the San Francisco Bay Area and three in Washington state.
