King Cinder
''King Cinder'' is a six-part British children's television serial made by the BBC in 1977. It was first shown between 2 November and 7 December 1977 on BBC1. A gritty series, ''King Cinder'' by John Foster, pitches two teenagers, played by Peter Duncan (Kerry) a speedway bike rider and Lesley Manville (Nicky) his girlfriend against a criminal gang running an extortion racket run by nasty Todd Edwards ( Michael Hawkins) and Hells Angel Daniel Abineri in a South Coast fictional seaside town called Barton. The series concludes with a climatic ending where Edwards driving a red Austin Maxi chases a running Kerry through a quarry only to see Edwards crash over a cliff. The executive producer was Anna Home. John Prowse
John Henry Prowse (16 June 1871 – 20 May 1944) was an Australian politician. Born in Adelong, New South Wales, he was educated at public schools and then at Kings College, Melbourne. He became an insurance agent and then a station owner in Western Australia, where he eventually became a Perth City Councillor, serving as Mayor 1913–1914. In 1919, Prowse was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the member for Swan, representing the Farmers' and Settlers' Association, which in 1920 solidified to become the Australian Country Party. Prowse transferred to the new seat of Forrest in 1922, allowing party colleague Henry Gregory (member for the abolished Dampier) to contest Swan. He served as chairman of committees from 1934 to 1943, the first member of his party to hold the position. Prowse held Forrest until his defeat in 1943 by future Labor minister Nelson Lemmon. Peter Duncan (actor)
Peter Duncan (born 3 May 1954) is an English actor and television presenter. He was a presenter of ''Blue Peter'' in the 1980s, and made a series of family travel documentaries between 1999 and 2005. He directed, produced and performed in ''Jack and the Beanstalk'' which received a national cinema release in the UK in 2020. Early life, family and education Duncan was born in Chelsea, London. He was a student at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, an independent stage school in London. Duncan completed his secondary education at Hawes Down School for Boys at West Wickham, Bromley, London. He also studied with the Open University. Anna Margaret Home ( ; born 13 January 1938) is an English television producer and executive who worked for most of her career at the BBC. Early career After graduating from Oxford University, where she read Modern History at St Anne's College from 1956, Home joined the BBC in 1960. Initially working as a studio manager in BBC Radio, Home joined BBC Television in 1964 as a researcher for '' Play School''. Though rarely the star in any series or film in which he appeared, Hawkins appeared in supporting roles in dozens of productions over three decades. Daniel Abineri (born 8 August 1958) is an English songwriter, actor, director, narrator and playwright known for writing the book, music and lyrics for the controversial rock musical ''Bad Boy Johnny and the Prophets of Doom''. The Austin Maxi is a medium-sized, 5-door hatchback family car that was produced by Austin and later British Leyland between 1969 and 1981. It was the first British five-door hatchback.
