Kindled Courage
''Kindled Courage'' is a 1923 American silent Western film directed by William Worthington and featuring Hoot Gibson. It is not known whether the film currently survives, and it may be a lost film. The film is a member of the Universal-produced and Carl Laemmle-selected "The Laemmle Nine", which also includes ''A Dangerous Game'', ''The Flaming Hour'', ''The Ghost Patrol'', ''The Scarlet Car'', ''The Power of a Lie'', ''The First Degree'', ''The Love Letter'', and ''The Gentleman From America''. William Worthington (director)
William Worthington (April 8, 1872 in Troy, New York – April 9, 1941 in Beverly Hills, California) was an American silent film actor and director. Career Worthington became interested in the performing arts when he began his career as an opera singer and stage actor. He entered films with a lead role in 1913, and one of his more notable films was Damon and Pythias in 1914. From 1917 to 1925, William concentrated on directing films and was the head of a film production firm called Multicolor, which was bought by Cinecolor in 1932. He was active in films up until his death in 1941. Harry Tenbrook (born Henry Olaf Hansen, October 9, 1887 – September 4, 1960) was an American film actor. Henry Olaf Hansen was born in Christiania (now Oslo), Norway. His family migrated to the United States in 1892. Under the stage name, Harry Tenbrook, he appeared in more than 330 films between 1911 and 1960. A favorite of John Ford, Tenbrook was a prominent member of the John Ford Stock Company. Only four actors appeared in more Ford films than Tenbrook. He died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles from lung cancer. He was interred at the Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park in North Hollywood, California. Harold Goodwin (American Actor)
Harold Goodwin (December 1, 1902 – July 12, 1987) was an American actor who performed in over 225 films. Biography Goodwin began his film career at age 12. Goodwin's first starring role came in ''Oliver Twist, Jr.'' (1921). He also appeared as Jeff Brown in the 1927 Buster Keaton comedy ''College''. He followed up with a role in another Keaton film ''The Cameraman'' in 1928, opposite Keaton and actress Marceline Day. Goodwin worked steadily through the silent film era and transitioned into the talkie era as a character actor, often as a "tough guy" because of his athletic stature. He was seen in the role of Detering in the 1930 Lewis Milestone-directed World War I drama ''All Quiet on the Western Front''. His subsequent film roles were mostly small and uncredited. In his later years Goodwin mainly acted in the Western film genre and often worked as a stuntman for film studios.
