Charlie Kindel is an American tech executive and former chief product and technology officer at SnapAV. He formerly held roles with Control4, Amazon, and Microsoft. Much of his career has been spent focused on smart home products. Early life and education Kindel was born in Vail, Colorado. He earned a bachelor's degree in systems engineering from the University of Arizona in 1990. Career Kindel joined Microsoft in 1990. He was named general manager of Windows Home Server in 2004, remaining in that position until 2009, when he became general manager of the Windows Phone developer experience. In 2011, Kindel left Microsoft to create BizLogr, serving as chief executive officer. The calendar scheduling startup launched in 2012, and was later renamed FreeBusy. The company created the mileage-logging app MileLogr. Kindel joined Amazon in 2013, becoming director of Alexa Smart Home, remaining there until April 2018. George John Kindel
George John Kindel (March 2, 1855 – February 28, 1930) was an American politician from Colorado who served one term in the United States House of Representatives from 1913 to 1915. Biography Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kindel attended the public schools and St. Augustine's School in Cincinnati. Beginning in 1871, he apprentice as an upholsterer and mattress maker before relocating to Denver, Colorado in 1877. He worked throughout his career in the upholstery, mattress, and furniture business. Political career He served as a member of the board of supervisors of the city and county of Denver from 1910 to 1914. In 1912, Kindel won election as a Democrat to the Sixty-third Congress, which convened from March 4, 1913 to March 3, 1915. In 1914, rather than seek re-election, Kindel instead ran for the U.S. Senate, first as a Democratic candidate and then, after leaving the party, as an independent. Steve Kindel
Steve Kindel (born February 25, 1977) is a Canadian soccer player who currently plays for Surrey United Firefighters. Career Club Kindel was a former standout at Simon Fraser University, where he won the 1997 NAIA Pacific Northwest Conference Player of the Year. After CIS soccer he turned pro by signing with the Vancouver Whitecaps in 1997 where he would play until 1998. After USL soccer he left for Europe where he had a brief stint with R.A.E.C. Mons of the Belgian Third Division A. The same year he made his debut with the Canada national soccer team, where in total he would earn 4 caps. Kindel returned to the USL First Division first playing with the Richmond Kickers in 1999, then with the Hampton Roads Mariners in 2000.
