Election Commission Of Malaysia
The Election Commission of Malaysia ( ms, Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya Malaysia), abbreviated SPR or EC, is a commission set up for ensuring fair and equitable operations in undertaking the elections in Malaysia. The 12th Malaysian Parliament is the last meeting of the legislative branch of the government of Malaysia, the Parliament, comprising the directly elected lower house, the ''Dewan Rakyat'', and the appointed upper house, the ''Dewan Negara''. The United Malays National Organisation (Malay: ; Jawi: ; abbreviated UMNO () or less commonly PEKEMBAR), is a nationalist right-wing political party in Malaysia. Juhar Mahiruddin
Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Juhar bin Mahiruddin ( ms, جوهر بن ماهرالدين, label= Jawi, script=arab, italic=unset; born 5 November 1953) is a Malaysian politician who has been the 10th Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah since January 2011. He was Speaker of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly from December 2002 to December 2010. He was Deputy Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat from October 1990 to November 1999. He is also the Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Juhar is a founding member of the United Malays National Organisation's (UMNO) branch in Sabah. Biography Juhar was born on Tambisan Island, off the coast of the Sandakan Division in Sabah in 1953 to a political family.
