Kim Yun-hee
Kim Yun-hee (born 23 March 1994) is a South Korean archer competing in women's compound events. She won, alongside So Chae-won, the gold medal in the women's team compound event at the 2019 Summer Universiade held in Naples, Italy. She also won the gold medal in this event at the 2017 Summer Universiade held in Taipei, Taiwan. At the 2015 World Archery Championships held in Copenhagen, Denmark, she won the gold medal in the women's individual and mixed team events. Compound Bow
In modern archery, a compound bow is a bow that uses a levering system, usually of cables and pulleys, to bend the limbs. In general, compound bows are widely used in target practice and hunting. The pulley/cam system grants the user a mechanical advantage, and so the limbs of a compound bow are much stiffer than those of a recurve bow or longbow. This rigidity makes the compound bow more energy-efficient than other bows, as less energy is dissipated in limb movement. The higher-rigidity, higher-technology construction also improves accuracy by reducing the bow's sensitivity to changes in temperature and humidity. The pulley/cam system also confers a benefit called "let-off." As the string is drawn back, the cams rotate. The cams are eccentric rather than round, and so their effective radius changes as they rotate. So Chae-won ( ko, 소채원; born 12 November 1997) is a South Korean compound archer. In 2017, she won gold medals in the individual event and in the Mixed team event alongside Kim Jong-ho and a bronze medal in the Women's team event alongside Kim Yun-hee and Song Yun-soo at the Summer Universiade games. She also won a bronze medal at the 2017 World Archery Championships in the women's team event alongside Choi Bo-min and Song Yun-soo.
