Kim Min-chan (born February 26, 1987) is a South Korean curler. Korean Curling Championships
The Korean Curling Championships (branded as the KB Financial Korean Curling Championships from 2012 to 2022) are the annual Korean men's and women's curling championships, organized by the Korean Curling Federation (KCF). The winners of the championship qualify for the Korean National Team. Until 2022, they earned the right to represent South Korea at the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships (PACC) and the World Curling Championships if they reached qualification. Every four years, the winners also qualify to represent South Korea at the Winter Olympic Games if the country received a berth. The championship also qualifies the winners for the Asian Winter Games if it is held during the season they are the national team. Starting in 2022, the winners of the championships qualified for the Pan Continental Curling Championships, which replaced the PACC. FISU World University Games Gold Medalists For South Korea
The Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU, en, International University Sports Federation) is responsible for the organization and governance of worldwide sports competitions for student-athletes between the ages of 17 and 25. It was founded in 1949 as the world governing body of national university sports organizations and currently has 174 member associations (National University Sport Federations) from five continents. Between 1949 and 2011, it was based in Brussels (Belgium); it was relocated to Lausanne ( Switzerland) since 2011. The FISU stages its events every two years. The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The Universiade is referred to in English as the World University Games or World Student Games; however, this latter term can also refer to competitions for sub-University grades students. Kim Min-jung (curler)
Kim Min-jung, nicknamed "MJ" is a South Korean curler. She was one of the coaches of the South Korean Women's Olympic Curling Team in 2018, skipped by Kim Eun-jung. After the Olympics, Team Kim accused Min-jung and her father Kim Kyung-doo (who was also the countries sports federation vice president) of abusing the team. She is no longer the coach of the team. Career Kim was the alternate at first for the Kim Eun-jung team. They represented South Korea at the 2012 Pacific-Asia Curling Championships where they finished in third place after losing the semifinal to Japan's Satsuki Fujisawa, and therefore failed to qualify for the world championships. Team Kim captured the national championship again in April 2014. At the 2014 Pacific-Asia Curling Championships, they had an unbeaten 8-0 round-robin record and a semifinal win over New Zealand. Kim Eun-jung (curler)
Kim Eun-jung, nicknamed "Annie" (born November 29, 1990) is a South Korean curler from Uiseong. She currently skips her own team on the World Curling Tour. Kim skipped the national team from 2016 to 2018 and represented Korea on home ice at the 2018 Winter Olympics where her team won a silver medal. Career As a junior skip, Kim led South Korea to three-straight silver medals at the Pacific-Asia Junior Curling Championships. In 2010, she lost in the final to China's Liu Jinli, in 2011 she lost to Japan's Sayaka Yoshimura, and in 2012 she lost to Yoshimura again. Right after juniors in April 2012, Kim earned her first non-junior national title at the South Korean Curling Championships, which are held every spring to qualify the winner as the national team for the following season.
