Kim Hyeong-seok
Kim Hyeong-seok (born September 27, 1966) is a composer in South Korea who is known for producing both dance music and ballads. Since beginning his career in 1989, Kim has composed or produced more than 1,000 songs and has worked with many of the top Korean performers. In 1994 he helped JYP get started with his first album and is credited as a composer on IU's album REAL. Kim is also known for producing soundtracks for movies and TV, such as for the film My Sassy Girl. Kim appeared on multiple TV shows including as a producer in Season 2 of Sister's Slam Dunk and as a celebrity judge in Season 1 of A Battle of One Voice: 300. In 2018, Kim performed two piano pieces in Pyongyang at a joint concert between South and North Korea. Park Jin-young (Hangul: 박진영; born December 13, 1971), also known by his stage names J. Y. Park and The Asiansoul or the initials JYP, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, record producer, record executive, and reality television show judge. Park rose to stardom as a singer following the release of his 1994 debut album, ''Blue City''. In 1997, he became the founder of JYP Entertainment, one of the most profitable entertainment agencies in South Korea. As the former head of JYP Entertainment (May 1997–Feb 2011), Park has developed and managed highly successful K-pop artists including Rain, Wonder Girls, 2PM, Miss A, Got7, Day6, Twice, Stray Kids, Itzy, and Nmixx, as well as Mandopop group Boy Story and J-pop group NiziU. Lee Ji-eun (; born May 16, 1993), also known by her stage name IU (), is a South Korean singer-songwriter, record producer and actress. She signed with LOEN Entertainment (now Kakao Entertainment) in 2007 as a trainee and debuted as a singer at the age of fifteen with her first extended play (EP) ''Lost and Found'' (2008). ''Allkpop'' (stylized in all lowercase) is an American website which features Korean pop and gossip news. Launched on October 30, 2007, it is based in Edgewater, New Jersey, and is owned and operated by its parent company 6Theory Media. ''Allkpop'' is one of the most trafficked K-pop news sites, with over seven and half million readers per month. In its list of useful websites, ''The Korea Herald'' called it the "fastest news breaker" for K-pop. Despite the praise, some detractors accused the website for inciting racism and xenophobia towards Koreans, and Southeast Asians, by Korean netizens itself, exacerbated by the economic differences between those two regions which is a primary cause of contention. ''My Sassy Girl'' ( ko, 엽기적인 그녀, Yeopgijeogin Geunyeo, That Bizarre Girl) is a 2001 South Korean romantic comedy film directed by Kwak Jae-yong, starring Jun Ji-hyun and Cha Tae-hyun. The film is based on a true story told in a series of blog posts written by Kim Ho-sik, who later adapted them into a fictional novel. The film was very successful in South Korea, where it was the highest-grossing comedy of all time, and one of the top five highest-grossing films ever at the time. Sister's Slam Dunk
''Sister's Slam Dunk'' () is a South Korean reality show that aired every Friday on KBS 2TV from April 8 to December 2, 2016. The show's first season featured an all-female cast consisting of Ra Mi-ran, Kim Sook, Hong Jin-kyung, Min Hyo-rin, Jessi and Tiffany, and followed their attempts at fulfilling each cast member's dream using a budget of ₩2,196,000 or approximately $2,000. The cast members formed a special girl group named "Unnies" () and released a Park Jin-young-produced single titled "Shut Up", featuring You Hee-yeol, in July 2016. The ''KBS Song Festival'' () is an annual South Korean music show that airs on the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) at the end of every year. It first aired in 1965 as an awards show, but KBS discontinued the awards ceremony in 2006. It has continued since as a music festival without giving awards most years. However, awards were given in 2013. History The program was first broadcast in 1965 by the Tongyang Broadcasting Company (TBC), where it was known as the ''TBC Broadcast Music Awards'' ().
