''Kill or Cure'' is a 1962 British comedy film directed by George Pollock and starring Terry-Thomas and Eric Sykes."Jim Townsend calls the Keeley cure the 'kill or cure.'" ''The Weekly Gazette And Stockman'', Reno, Nevada. Thursday, July 6, 1893. Plot Mr Barker Rynde comes to a country hotel to assist a wealthy widow. He endures a nature cure diet and exercises under Rumbelow. When the widow is poisoned, Barker Rynde and Rumbelow join forces to win a reward offered by the hotel manager Crossley. George Pollock (director)
George Pollock (27 March 1907 – 22 December 1979) was a British people, British film director, best known for bringing Agatha Christie, Agatha Christie's detective Miss Marple to the big screen for the first time, starring Margaret Rutherford. Life and work Born in Leicester, England in 1907, Pollock began his professional career as an assistant director, assistant film director in 1936. He collaborated in the 1940s with David Lean on such films as ''Brief Encounter'' (1945), ''Great Expectations (1946 film), Great Expectations'' (1946), and ''Oliver Twist (1948 film), Oliver Twist'' (1948). His first film as director was ''Stranger in Town (1957 film), Stranger in Town'' in 1957. However, he is best remembered for bringing the Agatha Christie character Miss Marple to the big screen for the first time in 1961 with ''Murder She Said''. Harry Locke
Harry Locke (10 December 1913 – 7 September 1987) was an English character actor. He was born and died in London. He married Joan Cowderoy in 1943 and Cordelia Sewell in 1952. He was a good friend of the poet Dylan Thomas. Their friendship in London and South Leigh, Oxfordshire, has been described by Locke in a 1970s interview with the radio journalist Colin Edwards.
