Ciarán Kilduff
Ciarán Kilduff (born 29 September 1988) is an Irish footballer who most recently played as a striker with Shelbourne in the League of Ireland Premier Division. He has played for seven clubs in the League of Ireland throughout his career and appeared 16 times in European competition, playing in the Europa League group stages in two separate seasons. The first occasion was with Shamrock Rovers when they became the first Irish side to reach the group stage of the Europa League in 2011, and he was also part of the Dundalk team that qualified for the Europa League group stages after becoming the first Irish club to reach the play-off round of the Champions League in 2016. Thomas S. Kilduff is an American neuroscientist and the director of SRI International's Center for Neuroscience. He specializes in neurobiology related to sleep and wakefulness, and was involved in the discovery of orexin, hypocretin (also known as orexin), a neuropeptide system that is highly involved in wakefulness regulation. His group at SRI International also discovered an unusual neuronal population in the cerebral cortex that is activated during sleep. He is also a consulting professor at the Stanford University School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Pete Kilduff
Peter John Kilduff (April 4, 1893 – February 14, 1930), was a professional baseball player who played second base from 1917 to 1921, with the Giants, Cubs, and Brooklyn Robbins, and as a player / manager in the minors for several years after. Starting 2B for the pennant winning 1920 Brooklyn Robbins, hitting .272/.351/.360 with good defense, good for 3.4 fWAR at the age of 27. He appeared in the 1920 World Series with the Brooklyn Robins where he was one of three outs in Bill Wambsganss's unassisted triple play. Still currently the only unassisted triple play ever in post season play. He was again a solid contributor in 1921 at the age of 28 but was optioned down to the minors for the 1922 season.
