Kickapoo, Indiana
Kickapoo was a small town (now extinct) in Warren Township, Warren County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. History Platted by Lewis Davisson on February 2, 1885, the town was served by the newly-constructed Chicago and Great Southern Railway. The town never grew substantially and is described in a 1913 history as having "a small population". Geography Kickapoo was located at or near in section 29, township 22, range 7 west, along what is now Kickapoo Road (County Road 425 E). Warren Township is one of twelve townships in Warren County, Indiana, United States. According to the 2010 census, its population was 806 and it contained 324 housing units. History Warren Township was one of the original four created when the county was organized in 1827. Geography According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of , of which (or 98.63%) is land and (or 1.40%) is water. Kates Pond is in this township, and the streams of Dry Branch, Kickapoo Creek, Little Pine Creek, Middle Branch and West Fork Kickapoo Creek run through it.
