Khwopa College of Engineering () is a community based engineering college established in 2001 by people of Bhaktapur with aim to provide quality education to general people with affordable fee. It has been undertaken by Bhaktapur Municipality, a local government of Nepal, since its establishment. Khwopa College of Engineering is affiliated to Tribhuvan University. Location Khwopa College of Engineering is located in pre historic city of Bhaktapur. Admission criteria Students who have passed an entrance exam conducted by IOE are allowed to apply for admission. Students are admitted by priority selection according to their score in IOE entrance exam. Tribhuwan University
Tribhuvan University (TU; ne, त्रिभुवन विश्वविद्यालय) is a public university located in Kirtipur, Kathmandu. Established in 1959, TU is the oldest university in Nepal. In terms of enrollment, it is the 12th largest university in the world. The college offers 1000 undergraduate and 500 postgraduate programs across a wide range of disciplines. Sunil Prajapati
Sunil Prajapati ( ne, सुनिल प्रजापति) is a Nepalese politician who is the current mayor of Bhaktapur, belonging to the Nepal Workers Peasants Party. In the 1999 parliamentary election Prajapati contested the Bhaktapur 2 constituency. He finished second with 13,432 votes. After the fall of King Gyanendra's direct rule in 2006, Prajapati was nominated to the interim legislature of Nepal. Prajapati became a member of the Interim Constitution Drafting Committee. April 2015 Nepal Earthquake
The April 2015 Nepal earthquake (also known as the Gorkha earthquake) killed 8,964 people and injured 21,952 more. It occurred at on Saturday, 25 April 2015, with a magnitude of 7.8 Mw or 8.1 Ms and a maximum Mercalli Intensity of X (''Extreme''). Its epicenter was east of Gorkha District at Barpak, Gorkha, roughly northwest of central Kathmandu, and its hypocenter was at a depth of approximately .
