Khwezi Mkhafu
Khwezilokusa Mkhafu is a South African rugby union player for the Griffons (rugby union) in the Currie Cup and in the Rugby Challenge. His regular position is hooker or prop. Career He came through the ranks of the , playing for them at Under-19 and Under-21 from 2005 to 2008. He then joined the , where he made his senior debut in the 2010 Vodacom Cup against and became a first team regular over the next three seasons. Ngcobo (formerly Engcobo) is a town in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. The 2013 Vodacom Cup was played between 9 March and 18 May 2013 and was the 16th edition of this annual domestic cup competition. The Vodacom Cup is played between provincial rugby union teams in South Africa from the Currie Cup Premier and First Divisions, as well as and an invitational team, the from Argentina. These teams were geographically divided into two sections, with eight teams in both the Northern and Southern Sections. Varsity Cup is the collective name for four South African rugby union competitions involving the top rugby playing universities in the country. It was launched in 2008, with eight teams participating in the Varsity Cup competition and each university's internal champions competing in the Koshuis Rugby Championships (now known as Res Rugby). In 2011, a second tier competition called the Varsity Shield was added, increasing the number of participating universities to thirteen. A Young Guns tournament for the Under-20 side of the Varsity Cup teams was launched in 2012. A further expansion for the 2017 season saw three additional universities added to the Varsity Shield, totalling sixteen teams. 2013 IRB Tbilisi Cup
The 2013 IRB Tbilisi Cup was the inaugural edition of this international rugby union tournament, created by the International Rugby Board and was played from 7 to 16 June 2013 at the Avchala Stadium in Tbilisi. The hosts Georgia were joined by Uruguay, who regularly take part in the IRB Nations Cup, and two newly founded teams: Emerging Ireland, who were made up of young Irish players that didn't get selected for the Lions tour to Australia or the national side's tour to North America, and a South Africa President's XV, composed of Currie Cup players. South Africa President's XV won the inaugural tournament after winning all three of their games. 2013 Super Rugby Season
The 2013 Super Rugby season was the third season of the new 15-team format for the Super Rugby competition involving teams from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. The tournament was won by the Chiefs, who defeated the Canberra-based Brumbies 27–22 in the competition final.
