Khow Suey
''Khow suey'' (from my, ခေါက်ဆွဲ), is a noodle soup made of egg noodles and curried beef or chicken with coconut milk, served with a variety of contrasting condiments. A squeeze of lemon also adds tanginess to ''khow suey''. The dish is similar to the Burmese noodle dish '' ohn no khauk swe,'' literally 'coconut milk noodles'. History The dish, known as ohn no khao swè, originated in Burma, and came to the Memon community of Pakistan who adapted this dish, likely coinciding with the emigration of South Asians from Burma in the 1960s, and is now a representative Memon dish now known as ''khausa''. Ohn No Khao Swè
Ohn no khao swè (; ) is a Burmese dish consisting of wheat noodles in a curried chicken and coconut milk broth thickened with gram flour (chickpea flour). The dish is often garnished with crisp fried bean fritters, sliced raw onions, chillies, crisp noodles, and slices of hard-boiled egg, and zested with lime or lemon juice and fish sauce. Due to the popular link between coconut milk and hypertension, a variation which uses evaporated milk instead of coconut milk is also available in certain restaurants. Khao Soi
''Khao soi'' or ''khao soy'' ( th, ข้าวซอย, ; lo, ເຂົ້າຊອຍ , my, အုန်းနို့ခေါက်ဆွဲ ,) is a Chin Haw dish served in Laos and northern Thailand.
