Khote Sikkay (1973 Film)
''Khote Sikkay'' () is a 1974 Indian Hindi-language action-adventure film directed by Narendra Bedi, starring Feroz Khan and Danny Denzongpa as part of a gang of men hired by a villager to save his village from the dacoits. The film also stars Rehana Sultan, Ranjeet, Leela Mishra, Paintal, Ajit and Ranjeet. The lyrics are by Majrooh Sultanpuri, while the music was provided by R.D. Burman. It was inspired by the Western genre, complete with horses and ponchos. It has a similar plot to Akira Kurosawa's '' Seven Samurai'' as well as ''The Magnificent Seven'', while Feroz Khan's character is similar to the "Man with No Name" stock characters in Kurosawa's ''Yojimbo'' and Sergio Leone's Dollars trilogy. Narendra Bedi (1937–1982) was a Bollywood director and son of the writer Rajinder Singh Bedi. Seven Samurai
is a 1954 Japanese epic samurai drama film co-written, edited, and directed by Akira Kurosawa. The story takes place in 1586 during the Sengoku period of Japanese history. It follows the story of a village of desperate farmers who hire seven rōnin (masterless samurai) to combat bandits who will return after the harvest to steal their crops. Hamid Ali Murad (24 September 1911 – 24 April 1997) known simply as Murad was an Indian character actor who appeared in more than 100 Hindi language films from the early 1940s through to the end of the 1980s, playing character roles of a father, police officer, judge and an emperor.
