Khiri Rat Nikhom Railway Station
Khiri Rat Nikhom railway station is a railway station located in Tha Khanon Subdistrict, Khiri Rat Nikhom District, Surat Thani. The station is a class 3 railway station and is located from Thon Buri railway station. It opened in April 1956, on the Southern Line section from Ban Thung Pho Junction–Khiri Rat Nikhom. The railway line was originally planned to reach Tanun (North of Phuket) in Phang Nga, via Phang Nga City, Phanom and Ban Ta Khun, however the plan was scrapped. Currently, there are plans to restart the plan and continue building to Tanun to connect to Phuket and Phang Nga. Thon Buri Railway Station
Thon Buri railway station ( th, สถานีรถไฟธนบุรี) formerly known as Bangkok Noi railway station (สถานีรถไฟบางกอกน้อย), is a railway station in Siriraj Sub-district, Bangkok Noi District, Bangkok. It is a class 1 railway station and is the current terminus of the Thon Buri Branch Line. Near the station is a railway depot that keeps five functional steam locomotives operable for four special occasions. Thon Buri station is the only station in Bangkok that has railway semaphore signals (although unused) still present on the station grounds. History Originally, the station's location was at Bangkok Noi railway station. It opened in 1903 as a terminus for all Southern Line services. Ban Thung Pho Junction railway station is a railway station located in Phunphin Subdistrict, Phunphin District, Surat Thani. Ban Thung Pho Junction is a class 2 railway station, located 631.0 km from Thon Buri railway station. Ban Thung Pho Junction acts as the railway junction between the Southern Line mainline and the Khiri Rat Nikhom Branch. This is also the location of a container yard for freight trains. The station opened in July 1916, as part of the Chumphon– Ban Na section. The section to Khiri Rat Nikhom opened in April 1956. Phuket Province
Phuket (; th, ภูเก็ต, , ms, Bukit or ''Tongkah''; Hokkien:普吉; ) is one of the southern provinces (''changwat'') of Thailand. Mueang Phang Nga ( th, เมืองพังงา, , ) is the capital district (''amphoe mueang'') of Phang Nga province in southern Thailand. Geography Neighboring districts are (from the east clockwise): Thap Put and Phanom of Surat Thani province; Kapong, Thai Mueang, and Takua Thung of Phang Nga. To the south is Phang Nga Bay, with the insular district Ko Yao. Ao Phang Nga National Park covers the islands south of the district. Sa Nang Manora Forest Park protects 0.29 km2 of the Khao Toy Nang Hong Forest around the Sa Nang Manora waterfall.
