Khersan River
The Khersan River (Persian خرسان) is a 180km long tributary of the Karun River in Iran (the river with the largest flows in Iran), flowing into an arm of the reservoir formed by the Karun-3 Dam. The Khersan-3 Dam is under construction, proposed to be the most upstream of a cascade of three dams. The region is mountainous, part of the Zagros Mountains. Karun
The Karun ( fa, کارون, ) is the Iranian river with the highest water flow, and its only navigable river. It is long. It rises in the Zard Kuh mountains of the Bakhtiari people, Bakhtiari district in the Zagros Range, receiving many tributaries, such as the Dez River, Dez and the Kuhrang, before passing through the capital of the Khuzestan Province of Iran, the city of Ahvaz before emptying to its mouth into Shatt al-Arab, Arvand Rud (Shatt al-Arab). The Karun continues toward the Persian Gulf, forking into two primary branches on its river delta, delta – the Bahmanshir and the Haffar – that join the Arvand Rud, emptying into the Persian Gulf. Khersan-3 Dam
Khersan-3 dam is an arch dam currently under construction on the Khersan River, a tributary of the Karun River The Karun ( fa, کارون, ) is the Iranian river with the highest water flow, and its only navigable river. Lordegan County ( fa, شهرستان لردگان) is in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran. The capital of the county is the city of Lordegan.
