Romanization Of Khmer
The romanization of Khmer is a representation of the Khmer (Cambodian) language using letters of the Latin alphabet. This is most commonly done with Khmer proper nouns, such as names of people and geographical names, as in a gazetteer. Romanization systems for Khmer Cambodian geographical names are often romanized with a transliteration system, where representations in the Khmer script are mapped regularly to representations in the Latin alphabet (sometimes with some additional diacritics). The results do not always reflect standard Khmer pronunciation, as no special treatment is given to unpronounced letters and irregular pronunciations, although the two registers of Khmer vowel symbols are often taken into account. When transcription is used, words are romanized based on their pronunciation. However, pronunciation of Khmer can vary by speaker and region. Khmer (; , ) is an Austroasiatic languages, Austroasiatic language spoken by the Khmer people, and the Official language, official and national language of Cambodia. Khmer has been influenced considerably by Sanskrit and Pāli, Pali, especially in the royal and religious Register (sociolinguistics), registers, through Hinduism and Buddhism. It is also the earliest recorded and earliest written language of the Mon–Khmer family, predating Mon language, Mon and Vietnamese Language, Vietnamese, due to Old Khmer being the language of the historical empires of Chenla, Angkorian Empire, Angkor and, presumably, their earlier predecessor state, Funan. Khemara Keila FC ( km, ខេមរាកីឡា) was a Cambodian football club based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. History The club was established in 1997. The name is derived from ''Khemara'' a formal term for ''Khmer'', and ''keila'' meaning sports. The club won 2005 and 2006 the Metfone C-League, as well 2007 the Hun Sen Cup. This is a list of universities in Cambodia. This is the list of universities in Cambodia according to the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport. The Cambodian formal education system ceased to exist and many educated people fled the country or died during the Khmer Rouge era (1975–1979). After the fall of the Khmer Rouge, the education system had to be rebuilt from scratch to become what the modern national education system is today, starting from Grade 1 (at age six) to Grade 12 for a total of 12 years of public general education. Royal Cambodian Armed Forces
The Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF; km, កងយោធពលខេមរភូមិន្ទ ) is Cambodia's national military force. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief is King Norodom Sihamoni. Since 2018, General Vong Pisen has been the Commander-in-Chief of the RCAF as head of the Army, Navy, Air Force and the Gendarmerie. The armed forces operate under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of National Defence. Under the country's constitution, the RCAF is charged with protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Cambodia. It was created in 1993 by a merger of the Cambodian People's Armed Forces and the two non-communist resistance armies. The National Association of Cambodian Scouts (NACS; km, សមាគមជាតិកាយារិទ្ធិកម្ពុជា, ) is the national Scouting organization in Cambodia. It was founded in September 2005 through the merger of the Scout Organization of Cambodia and the Cambodian Scouts ( km, ខេមរកាយារិទ្ធិកម្ពុជា, link=no, ) and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) on 1 July 2008.
