Khanpur–Chachran Railway ( ur, ) was one of several branch lines in Pakistan, operated and maintained by Pakistan Railways. The line began at Khanpur Junction and ended at Chachran. The total length of this railway line is with 4 railway stations. History The branch line was initially referred to as the Bahawalpur Royal Railway and was a ''Darbar'' line financed by the Princely Bahawalpur State. The line opened in 1911 as part of the North Western State Railway network. Khanpur railway station (Urdu and ur, ) is located in Khanpur city, Rahim Yar Khan district of Punjab province of the Pakistan. Chachran
Chachran Sharif ( ur, ), is a town in Khanpur Tehsil of the Rahim Yar Khan District, in the Punjab state of Pakistan. Chacharan Sharif is a historical town of District Rahim Yar Khan which is attributed with the name of famous 19th century poet and saint Khawaja Ghulam Farid and it is called Farid city as he was born and lived in this city. This city is situated at the east bank of Indus River and is the last northern town of District Rahim Yar Khan. After it the territory of District Rajan Pur begins; Mithankot, another historic town is directly across the river Indus on its west bank. Mandra–Bhaun Railway ( ur, ) was one of several railway lines in Pakistan, operated and maintained by Pakistan Railways. The line began at Mandra Junction and ended at Bhaun, a village about south of the Chakwal city, at the foothills of Salt Range. The total length of this railway line was with 8 railway stations. History A railway line between Bhaun and Mandra was originally proposed to freight and ore from the mineral rich area of Chakwal, at the turn of the 20th century. Khanpur ( ur, ) is a city and capital of Khanpur Tehsil of the Rahim Yar Khan District, Bahawalpur Division, in the Punjab province of Pakistan.
