Khangar (russian: Хангар) is a stratovolcano located in the central part of Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia. It is the southernmost volcano of the Sredinny Range. When large volumes of magma are erupted over a short time, structural support for the rock above the magma chamber is gone. Sredinny Range (, meaning Middle Range) is a mountain range on the Kamchatka Peninsula of Russia. It stretches from northeast to southwest along the center of the peninsula and is made up of volcanoes, mostly shield volcanoes and stratovolcanoes.
