Khalil Davis
Khalil Davis (born August 22, 1996) is an American football defensive tackle for the Birmingham Stallions of the United States Football League (USFL). He played college football at Nebraska. College career A four-star recruit, Davis committed to Nebraska over offers from Arkansas, Indiana, and Oregon, among other schools. He made 11 starts in 47 games. He was named the Cornhuskers' Defensive Lineman of the Year in both 2018 and 2019 seasons, after recording 11.0 sacks and 26 tackles for loss. He had eight sacks as a senior and led Nebraska with 45 tackles. Professional career Tampa Bay Buccaneers At the NFL Combine, Davis ran the 40-yard dash in 4.75 seconds, the sixth-fastest time for a defensive lineman. Defensive Tackle
A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach. Carlos Davis (born August 22, 1996) is an American football nose tackle who is a free agent. He played college football at Nebraska. College career Davis was an All-American in track and field at Nebraska in addition to football. He started 11 of 12 games as a defensive end as a senior and had 32 tackles. In his career, he compiled 125 total tackles, 18 tackles for a loss and nine and a half sacks. Professional career He ran a 4.82-second 40 yard dash at the combine, placing him in a tie for ninth among defensive linemen.
