Khalid Khurshid
Muhammad Khalid Khurshid Khan (Urdu: محمد خالد خورشید خان ; born 17 November 1980) is a Pakistani lawyer and politician who is the current Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan ''de-facto'' province of Pakistan, from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He has been a member of the Gilgit Baltistan Assembly since 25 November 2020. Early life and education Khan was born on 17 November 1980 in Rattu area of Shounter Tehsil in Astore District. He belongs to the Machoque tribe. He matriculated from Public School and College, Gilgit and did his graduation from Lahore. He received degree in law from Queen Mary University of London , England. He practiced law in London before returning to Pakistan to participate in politics. Pirzada
A Pirzada is historically described as official custodians of Sufi mausoleums and shrines in Muslim lands, with their earliest mentions being in Baghdad, Iraq, during the period of the Umayyad caliphate. Often a Pirzada was a descendant of those buried within the tomb they were assigned to, hence most of the Pirzadas are successor to Saint buried in the tomb. 2020 Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Election
The 2020 Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections were held on 15 November 2020. Elections will be held in 24 constituencies, each electing one member to the 3rd Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly. 330 candidates will contest these elections, either representing one of the political parties of Gilgit-Baltistan (at the time of the 2020 elections) or being an independent candidate. The Diamer District ( ur, ), also spelled Diamir District,) is a district in Gilgit-Baltistan territory of Pakistan. The headquarters of the district is the town of Chilas.
