Constitution Party (Egypt)
The Constitution Party ( ar-at, حزب الدستور, Ḥizb el-Dostour) is a political party in Egypt. Founded by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Mohammad ElBaradei in 2012, it aims to protect and promote the principles and objectives of the 2011 Egyptian revolution, according to Liberalism, liberal ideals. Background The party was launched on 28 April 2012 by Mohammad ElBaradei and a group of Egyptian intellectuals and activists. Hala Shukrallah
Hala Shukrallah ( ar, هالة شكر الله; born in 1954) is the former president of the Egyptian Constitution Party, having succeeded Sayed Kassem as the party's leader. She is the first Coptic woman to head an Egyptian political party. ''Al-Ahram Weekly'' is an English-language weekly broadsheet printed by the Al-Ahram Publishing House in Cairo, Egypt. History and profile ''Al Ahram Weekly'' was established in 1991 by the ''Al-Ahram'' newspaper, which also runs a French-language weekly version, ''Al-Ahram Hebdo''. Between 1991 and 2003, founder Hosni Guindi, served as the editor-in-chief and Hani Shukrallah as managing editor and co-founder Mona Anis as deputy editor-in-chief. National Salvation Front (Egypt)
The National Salvation Front (also known as the National Front for Salvation of the Revolution or the National Rescue Front, ar, جبهة الإنقاذ الوطني) is an alliance of Egyptian political parties, formed to defeat Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi's 22 November 2012 constitutional declaration. The National Front for Salvation of the Revolution has more than 35 groups involved overall. Observers are concerned that the NSF will not be able to become a coherent political force because the different parties agree on opposing Morsi, but their views on other subjects diverge. Mohamed Ali (Egyptian Contractor)
Mohamed Ali (also: ''Aly''; born 18 January 1978) is an Egyptian building contractor living in exile in Spain who worked for 15 years with Egyptian president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Sisi's colleagues building villas and a palace. In September 2019, Ali circulated videos accusing Sisi of corruption. The online circulation of videos snowballed, with others including Wael Ghonim joining in the anti-Sisi criticism. Ali called for mass anti-Sisi street protests which started on 20 September 2019 across Egypt. 2019 Egyptian Protests
The 2019 Egyptian protests were mass protests in Cairo, Alexandria, Damietta and other cities on 20, 21 and 27 September 2019 in which the protestors called for President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to be removed from power. Security forces responded with tear gas, rubber bullets and, , arbitrary arrests had been made, based on data from the Egyptian Center for Economic and Social Rights, the Egyptian Commission for Rights and Freedoms, the Arabic Network for Human Rights Information, among which 111 were minors according to Amnesty International and the Belady Foundation.
