Key (comics)
Key is the name of a supervillain in the DC Comics universe, a long-time and highly dangerous opponent of the Justice League. The character continues to appear in Justice League and Batman comics, with a ghoulish (rather than human) appearance since 1997. Publication history The Key first appeared in ''Justice League of America'' #41 and was created by Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky. Fictional character biography The Key debuted in ''Justice League of America'' #41 (December 1965). The unidentified man known as the Key develops mind-expanding "psycho-chemicals" that activate his 10 senses. Assisted by henchmen known as "Key-Men" and a "key blaster" gun, the Key has several failed run-ins with the Justice League of America (JLA). Howard Porter (artist)
Howard Porter is an American comic book artist from southern Connecticut. Education Howard Porter graduated from Paier College of Art in Connecticut where he majored in illustration. One of his teachers there was Frank McLaughlin (artist), Frank McLaughlin. McLaughlin also worked as a comic book inker and he began to give Porter work assisting him in his inking jobs which led Porter to assist other inkers and eventually find work for himself in the industry. Biography Porter worked as a penciller and his first major run on a title came with DC Comics' ''Ray (Ray Terrill), The Ray'' (vol. 2) (1994–1995), where he worked with writer Christopher Priest (comics), Christopher Priest. The character was created by Gardner Fox and Murphy Anderson, and first appeared in '' Hawkman'' #4 (November 1964). Zatanna is a stage magician with actual mystic powers much like her father, Zatara, granting her magical powers notably controlled by invoking commands speaking incantations backwards.
