Kevin Vickerson
Kevin Darnell Vickerson (born January 8, 1983) is a former American football defensive end. He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football at Michigan State. Vickerson has also been a member of the Tennessee Titans, Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs. Early years Vickerson attended Martin Luther King High School in Detroit, Michigan. As a senior, he earned Prep All-America honors playing both offensive and defensive line while helping his team to a 10-1 record and a Public School League title. College career A four-year letterman at Michigan State, played in 44 games while starting 19 for the Spartans. He started two games as a freshman and started six the following year. Defensive Tackle
A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach. Fumble
A fumble in gridiron football occurs when a player who has possession and control of the ball loses it before being downed (tackled), scoring, or going out of bounds. By rule, it is any act other than passing, kicking, punting, or successful handing that results in loss of ball possession by a player. A fumble may be forced by a defensive player who either grabs or punches the ball or butts the ball with their helmet (a move called "tackling the ball"). LenDale Anthony White (born December 20, 1984) is a former American football running back. He was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the second round (45th overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft. He has also been a member of the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos. He played college football at the University of Southern California. Early years White attended South High School in Denver, Colorado. He played football in 1999 and 2000, and he made the Rocky Mountain News All-Colorado first-team in 2000 and the Rocky Mountain News Class 5A All-State first-team both years. In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster.
