Kevin Taylor (Australian Footballer)
Kevin James Taylor (born 15 September 1958) is a former Indigenous Australian rules footballer who played for South Melbourne and Fitzroy in the Victorian Football League (VFL), East Fremantle and Swan Districts in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), and West Torrens in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). A rover who could also play in the forward pocket, Taylor made his senior debut for East Fremantle in the WAFL in 1978 and won a Simpson Medal for his performance in the 1979 Grand Final, when he kicked seven goals, including his 100th for the season. Taylor’s goal kicking in the home-and-away season that year earned him the Bernie Naylor Medal and he finished the season with 102 goals. In 1981 Taylor moved to Victoria to play for South Melbourne. He kicked 24 goals from his fourteen games, including a bag of five against North Melbourne at Arden Street Oval, before returning to East Fremantle. Kevin Taylor (born November 4, 1982, in Miami, Florida) is an American soccer player who most recently played for AFC Ann Arbor in the National Premier Soccer League. Career College and amateur Taylor grew up in Miami, Florida, where he was a 1997 and 1998 All State and 2000 second team All American soccer player at Gulliver Preparatory School. He played college soccer at the University of Michigan from 2000 to 2003., and spent the 2003 collegiate off-season with the Michigan Bucks of the USL Premier Development League. Taylor was drafted in the third round (25th fifth overall) of the 2004 MLS SuperDraft by the Colorado Rapids, but he was not offered a contract by the team, and he returned to play for Bucks for the 2004 and 2005 PDL seasons. Kevin Taylor (born 22 January 1961) is an English, retired professional footballer who scored 62 goals from 391 appearances in the Football League playing as a midfielder for Sheffield Wednesday, Derby County, Crystal Palace and Scunthorpe United. Career Taylor was born in Wakefield, which was then in the West Riding of Yorkshire. He began his football career as an apprentice with Sheffield Wednesday, made his first-team debut in January 1979, and stayed with the club for six years. In his last season with the club, he helped them to runners-up spot in the Second Division and promotion to the First, but was then sold to Derby County, then a Third Division team.
